When you log back in, your browser should open with the homepage(s) you specified in the previous steps. To do this, click on your profile icon on the bottom right corner of your screen and click on the "Sign Out" button. In order to apply your changes, you'll need to sign out of your Chromebook or restart your Chromebook. Step 7: Sign Out Of or Restart Your Chromebook Most of the time, you will need to log out of your Chromebook and then log back in. NOTE We found out that the startup page settings aren't applied immediately. Type in your homepage URL and click on "OK" to save your settings. These website URLs will open up in a tab when you open up your browser. We are not sure why you need to do theses steps on the Chromebook since we didn't run into these issues on our other devices (running Google Chrome). Also, some extensions may interfere with the start up page, so you might need to disable some extensions as well.
For example, you will need to log out (or restart your Chromebook) of your account and log back in order to complete the change. In our tests, we learned that there are additional steps to make your homepage work after you have set it.
